COLLEGE GOVERNANCE
The Cyryx College Council is the College’s apex governing body, responsible for the mission and strategic vision of the College; monitoring and guiding College performance against the mission and strategic vision; control of assets; finances, and business plans; oversight of human resources and employment matters; appointment of Rector, Vice-Rectors, Deans, Deputy Deans, and heads of departments; ensuring control and accountability systems for all matters are in place and monitored.
The Council is supported by three key committees in delivering its responsibilities; as follows:    

ACADEMIC POLICY COMMITTEE (APC)
Purpose
The Academic Policy Committee assists and advises the College Council in ensuring the maintenance of the highest standards and quality in teaching, scholarship, and research at the Cyryx College.
Responsibilities
•    To ensure the quality of academic programmes.
•    To develop, review and present to the Council, proposals for new programmes and courses and proposals to delete or change existing programmes and courses.
•    To develop, review, present to the Council and maintain the College academic standards and or policies.
•    To monitor and report to the Council on the implementation of the College's standards and policies.
•    To actively seek and evaluate opportunities to improve the University’s pursuit of high standards in all academic activities.
•    To advise and assist the Council in making decisions on academic-related matters, in line with College's academic policies and procedures.
•    To setup and maintain working groups to carry out its responsibilities, as and when deemed beneficial.

EXAMINATIONS & ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE (APC)
Purpose

The Examinations & Admissions Committee supports and advices the College Council in all admissions and assessment related matters towards ensuring the maintenance of the highest standards and quality in degrees and other awards conferred by the College.
Responsibilities
•    To advice the Council on the award of degrees and other awards conferred by the College.
•    To develop, review, present to the Council and maintain the College's assessment standards, policies, and procedures.
•    To develop, review, present to the Council and maintain the student admissions standards, policies, and procedures.
•    To develop, review, present to the Council and maintain admissions criteria in addition to the MQA Framework for professional development programmes and other non-academic programmes.
•    To act on behalf of the Council, as the final decision-making authority on assessment and admissions-related matters, in line with College's assessment and admissions policies and procedures as authorized by the Council.
•    To advise the Council on issues relating to admissions and assessments not based solely on the Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA) Framework.
•    To setup and maintain working groups to carry out its responsibilities, as and when deemed beneficial.

QUALITY ASSURANCE COMMITTEE (APC)
Purpose

The Quality Assurance Committee is responsible, on behalf of the College Council, to ensure the effective implementation of Cyryx College's quality assurance framework and provides a platform for the discussion and promotion of developments in academic quality assurance.
Responsibilities
•    To ensure effective implementation of the College's quality assurance framework
•    To develop, review, present to the Council and maintain the Cyryx College Quality Assurance Framework.
•    To develop, review, conduct and present to the Council, internal audits of the College and act as focal point for external audits or reviews.
•    To develop, review, present to the Council and implement actions or action plans following internal or external audits or reviews.
•    To ensure student feedback is taken following completion of each module and each course and conduct regular student quality surveys.
•    To develop and present to the Council academic quality "profiling" of Schools, Courses, and Lecturers regularly.
•    To setup and maintain working groups to carry out its responsibilities, as and when deemed beneficial.
