Ukrainian Drift King Aleksandr Grinchuk Visits Cyryx College

World famous Ukrainian drift racing champion and Red Bull competitor, Aleksandr Grinchuk, visited Cyryx College on Sunday, 26 April 2015.

Grinchuk was received at Cyryx College by Vice Rector Ibrahim Waheed and Dean of School of Information Technology Jothi Stalin. This celebrity meet-and-greet offered exclusively to Cyryx College students was attended by a large number of excited students.

When asked by a student how he developed his underlying love for drifting, Grinchuk surprised the students by saying that it was after watching the movie Fast and Furious!

The highlight of the visit was a raffle drawing among students; the prize was a chance to drift with the celebrity Drift King in Hulhumale on 01 May 2015. The lucky winner was Ali Shiuneez, a Diploma in Business Administration student in Cyryx College’s School of Business.

Grinchuk was in Maldives to perform in the Red Bull Piston Cup held in Hulhumale from 01 May – 02 May 2015 as well as to conduct a workshop for the motor racing community of Maldives.

Cyryx College achieved a new milestone by signing an MOU with Asia Exchange

The vision of making every Maldivian a graduate, Cyryx College achieved a new milestone by signing an MOU with Asia Exchange – Asia’s one of the biggest training institute who provides exchange programs, training opportunities across the globe.

The signing ceremony of the MOU was held yesterday at Cyryx College, Galholhu Campus, signed by Chairman of Cyryx College Mr. Ahmed Shareef and Academic Director of Asia Exchange Mr. Tuomas Kauppinen.


With this tremendous achievement, students of Cyryx College will get the opportunity to travel abroad to complete a semester, experience and a life changing study abroad or internships in Asia. Also, foreign students will get the opportunity to study in Cyryx College under this memorandum of understanding. Also arranging symposiums, seminars, lectures, academic conferences and joint academic activities will be open to conduct in the future.

Cyryx College Commences September 2016 intake – Information Technology Courses

Cyryx College welcomed the newest batches of Certificate III and Diploma in Information Technology this Thursday, 22nd September 2016. The students were greeted by Vice Rectors Jothi Stalin and Mohamed Shareef.

During this session, Vice Rector Stalin highlighted to the students, the enormous importance of higher education and explained how it has become a pre-requisite for finding a good job and better life. Thus advised students to utilize college years wisely and to make the most of it.

Furthermore, Vice Rector Stalin presented students with details about the structure of programs offered at Cyryx and explained the various aspects of student life on and off the campus. He also briefed students about the resources and support services available at the college.

The orientation session was held at Cyryx Galolhu Campus.
