Technology for All take Hour of Code to Children at Fiyavathi

Cyryx College’s Technology for All – Sharing Knowledge for a Better Life conducts Hour of Code workshops for children at Fiyavathi. Fifteen children between the ages of 8 – 10 took part in these workshops designed to introduce them to coding and to help them develop analytical thinking.

The Technology for All is an initiative by Cyryx College aimed at enabling everyone in our communities to better their day to day life through sharing of knowledge. It focuses on empowering individuals, especially the elderly, girls and women and the young, with knowledge about key 21st century skills and technology know how, with which they could enhance the quality of their life and the quality of life of those around them, thereby increasing inclusiveness, social equity and ultimately quality of life of our communities as a whole. Cyryx College believes that everyone should have the opportunity to learn how to create technology, just like they learn photosynthesis, the digestive system, or electricity at school as children.

Fiyavathi is one of the alternative care institutions established by the Government of Maldives for children below 9 years.

These Hour of Code workshops require no experience and are designed for all age groups. Call 9995870, sign up and join us at Cyryx College.
